If I had to describe who Rodge and Keith are, three words would come to mind: family and friends. The love they have for the people in their lives, and the love that those people have for them, is palpable. It's what I felt all day on that sunny June 14th in Bloomington, Indiana at The Wilds Wedding Venue.
This amazing couple didn't overcomplicate their day with unnecessary frills. All they wanted was to celebrate their love with the people who are most important to them. You get the feeling this is how they live their lives, focusing on what really matters -- and nothing matters more to them than each other (with the exception of Hamm, of course).
Saying "I do" isn't just reciting words, it's an action. And just like how you could feel their love for their family and friends, you can feel the meaning in the vows that they made to each other.
That's what I loved most about the time I got to spend with them. A simple kiss was enough to light a thousand fireworks.
Another thing that is important to them: tequila! The couple had their first date on national tequila day (unbeknownst to them at the time), so it's become a tradition of theirs to take a shot on the anniversary of their first date, and now going forward, their wedding anniversary.
When I think about Rodge and Keith now, I think about my family. How I want to give them the same kind of love I could feel from them. I don't think there is a better compliment I could give them.
